Dr Sims is very compasionate. He has taken care of all my pets and when I brought in the ferral kitty did as I requested and tested for the feline Aides. He compassionately helped me make a decision to take it to the SPCA because I have a healthy cat at home who we did not want to infect. The area I live in is next to a conservation area and is full of ferral cats, raccoons, armadillos, etc. This kitty had been in a fight and was starved, being in Florida you really have to be concerned about rabbies on top of the other issues.I hated taking this guy to the SPCA but it was the right thing to do in this instance.Dr Sims is great. I was in his office one day and the two pet owners before me had to put their pets down due to old age. When I got into the clinical area I said "Looks like you are having a tough day" and he started to cry. You know this guy is a animal lover! He's the Best! Cindy Fire

4 days after bringing home my 10 week old French Bulldog puppy, named Winston, began throwing up blood. Being a new puppy owner I panicked a lot! I called the office and they let me come right in to get checked out. He was diagnosed with Parvovirus and needed to stay for treatment. How could our little 10 week old puppy be facing such a serious illness? It freaked us out to no end that there was a chance that our little guy could die. Dr. McPherson took him in an treated him for the Parvovirus, her and the staff at the office answered our numerous calls for updates, and kept little Winston company and in good spirits during his treatment. A little over 24 hours later Winston was cleared to come back home with meds and instructions for recovery at home. Needless to say Winston made a full recovery and is a happy and healthy puppy, now almost 20 weeks old, and a full 14 pounds! Thanks to Dr. Dia McPhersonHurt and the amazing staff at the Tuskawilla Oaks Animal Hospital Winston has been such a happy and healthy puppy! He has since continued to receive his vaccinations and checkups from this amazing group of people at this office, and he looks forwards to many many more visits in the future.
